This month our young Live SA journalists featured prominently at the Guardian Activate Summit in Johannesburg. The summit hosted influential and inspirational media figures from across Africa and the rest of the world including Alan Rusbridger, Editor-in-Chief, Guardian News & Media. Livity Africa’s Gavin Weale facilitated a future generations panel in the afternoon featuring two of our Live SA journalists Lee Molefi and Lethabo Afrika.

Earlier in the day, two fellow Live SA journalists Kabelo Seshibe and Rofhiwa Maneta pitched Johannesburg stories to Guardian African Correspondent David Smith and Editor-in-Chief Alan Rusbridger. Both attended a 2-day citizen journalism workshop, run by the Guardian and Talk About Local, in the days leading up to the major summit.
